The Avenues Mall was the site of the 25th Annual Caring Chefs benefit Oct. 25. The event, which benefited Children’s Home Society sold-out and was the most successful to date, raising an estimated $175,000. This year’s event featured 53 local restaurants including Aqua Grill, Bistro Aix, Galangal Thai Restaurant, Matthew’s of San Marco, Morton’s The Steakhouse and Zaitoon Mediterranean Grill.
Caring Chefs has raised more than $2.2 million for children and families on the First Coast through the generosity and support of the area’s chefs, donors, volunteers and sponsors. Ninety percent of sponsorships and 100 percent of ticket proceeds go directly toward continuing the critical programs of the society.
